UTPMA: Ultra Trail Puy Mary Aurillac
The 13th edition of the UTPMA will take place on June 12 and 13, 2026, in Aurillac! The program includes several races in the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Natural Park and the Grand Site de France of Puy Mary - Cantal Volcano.

UTPMA: Ultra Trail du Puy Mary Aurillac solo or duo
- Distance: 114km | Elevation gain: 5500mD+ | Start: June 12, 2026 at 11pm, rue des Carmes in Aurillac.
- The beginning of the trail takes you to places with rather poetic names like "Pempadouyre," "Cascade de Faillitoux," and "Col de Lagat." Arriving at the Chapelle de la Consolation, continue towards Plomb du Cantal via Puy Gros (1,855m). A short break awaits you after the descent to the Lioran resort with a refreshment stop at the 50k mark.
Solo or Relay / Trail de la Jordanne
- 28km | Elevation gain: 800m | Relay start: June 13, 2026 at 9:00 AM – Solo start: June 13, 2026 at 9:05 AM
- Discover the mountains and villages of Cantal with a departure from Lavernière towards Lascelles, passing through Bouygues and Cheules. You'll then reach Saint-Simon and arrive in Aurillac, enjoying a panoramic view of the city.
Grand Trail du Lioran
- Distance: 50km | Elevation gain: 1800m D+ and 2400m D- | Start: June 13, 2026 at 9am in Le Lioran.
- The route takes you through Puy Griou and the Jordanne Valley before joining the Ultra Trail course after passing through Mandailles. You'll cross Bassierou and its gorges, then reach Lac des Graves and Saint-Simon, the final stop before arriving in Aurillac.
The Insomniac
- Distance: 10km | Elevation Gain: 200m | Start: June 13, 2026 at 10:00 PM in Saint-Simon.
- Run at night in a wooded setting before finding yourself along the Route des Crêtes and reaching the sparkling city.
Superheroes' Course
- Distance: 600 to 1000m | Start: June 13, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and June 14 from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM in Carmes.
- Obstacle course with 6 to 10 minutes per age category.
